The Joma Jewellery story began in 2008, when founders Katie and Geoff Loxton discovered beautifully unique pieces of jewellery while travelling. They fell in love with all of the semi-precious stones and silver beads, and began the journey to create a jewellery brand that delivered accessible luxury with quality and was filled with sentiment.
Aside from their earrings (see below), the base metal of Joma Jewellery is brass with triple plating in either silver, rose gold or gold. Joma’s standard plating is thicker than most high-street jewellery and is tested for durability. On top of this, Joma apply a protective coating which protects the jewellery from tarnishing, typically lasting 2-3 years under normal wear.
Joma’s earrings feature sterling silver posts (with gold or rose gold plating as appropriate). Hook earrings are brass with either silver or rose gold plating.
