30th September: Jade Angeles Fitton book launch

The next book from esteemed author of ‘Hermit’ Jade Angeles Fitton: ‘When the Sky Falls’ is a global cultural history of shooting stars, ranging from the prehistoric to the present day, exploring beliefs, superstitions and the relationship with meteors through the ages.

All of us have grown up looking up at the night sky, but the stars have had a much deeper influence on humankind than we know. ‘When the Sky Falls’ uncovers the varied ways in which shooting stars have held influence on our global culture including literature, art, folklore and even the governing of kings and queens.

Living in one of rural Devon’s many dark sky zones, Jade’s adoration and curiosity about the stars is lifelong, and with an engaging, accessible voice, she invites not only keen astrologists but everyday lovers of the romance and mysticism of the stars, to share her passion.
