6th December: Fiona Leitch; The Cornish Christmas Pantomime Murder
£5.00
Fiona Leitch is an author, tea drinker and Jammie Dodger enthusiast. She writes the Jodie ‘Nosey’ Parker series for HarperCollins, because she loves thinking about Cornwall, food and murdering people (not necessarily in that order). Fiona will be joining us at Adventure Bude on Saturday 6th December for an evening discussing her latest book: The Cornish Christmas Pantomime Murder.
- Where: Adventure Bude, Belle Vue, Bude, Cornwall, EX23 8JP
- When: 7pm on Saturday 6th December 2025
- Tickets: £5.00; available online here or in store at Spencer Thorn
Fiona’s biggest claims to fame are being thrown out of a TV studio debate by John Craven, having the shortest stand-up comedy career ever and playing a French hen in a non-denominational school Christmas play, which she is definitely not still bitter about. She is a sucker for a happy ending (though not for the victim, obviously), a romantic subplot and a cheesy pun. Her novels are currently in development with BBC Studios and Union Pictures.
Book your tickets in store or online for what promises to be an entertaining evening!
About The Cornish Christmas Pantomime Murder: It’s Christmas in Penstowan and local amateur dramatics group The Penstowan Players is putting on their annual pantomime. This year, it’s Aladdin and half the town have been drafted in to help. Ex-Metropolitan police officer turned caterer Jodie Parker has managed to get away with not appearing on stage, but only if she agrees to cater the opening night party. However, it’s not just terrible jokes, quick costume changes and backstage chaos that wait in the wings… When Widow Twankey trips over a corpse lying next to Aladdin’s bloodstained magic lamp, it’s time for Jodie and her partner, DCI Nathan Withers, to find the killer.
